Q: What do you use to give your products scents?

A: We only use essential oils to scent our products.

 

Q: I see some of your labels include palm oil and others don't, why is that? 

A: When I first started making soap, I wasn't aware of the environmental impact that the cultivation of Palm Oil has on Orangutan populations and their natural habitat. Since learning this, I first started using RSPO Palm Oil from certified vendors. Now I am reformulating all of my soap recipes without using palm oil at all. Once we have used the rest of what we have, all of Petal Apothecary's recipes moving forward will be Palm Free. One of aspects I enjoy most about creating these products is that I have complete say over the ingredients that go into each one. So as my own knowledge grows, my recipes will adapt to reflect that learning. It's all about progressing towards a better future with the right intentions. 

 

Q: Do you test on animals?

A: No. We are and always will be, a cruelty free and vegan business. 

 

Q: Do you accept returns?

A: Due to the hygienic nature of the products we sell, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. Our goal is always provide an excellent service for our customers - if there is an error with your order or an item was damaged in transit, please contact us by email at bar@petalapothecary.com

 

Q: I bought an item listed for pre-order, when should I expect to receive it?

A: Products listed for pre-order will always be expressly labeled as ‘Pre-order Only.’ Lead times will vary based on the type of product and cure/production time required. In the product description a release date will be listed which when products will begin shipping.
